Gingerbread Christmas Decorations
Delicious edible decorations that you can hang on your Christmas tree!

- 340 grams flour (plain)
- 190 grams Golden Syrup
- 100 grams butter
- 100 grams brown sugar
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
Pre-heat your oven to 190C (375F).
In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar and butter and mix until smooth.
Mix in the golden syrup.
Sift in the flour, spices and bicarbonate of soda, and mix until fully combined.
With the crumbly dough, use your hands to press it into a ball. Chill in fridge for 10 mins.
Once chilled, roll out between two sheets of greaseproof paper. Aim to get dough 7mm thick.
Using a cookie-cutter, cut your shapes out of the dough.
Re-roll the dough when needed to get the most cookies out of it.
Bake in the oven for 9 minutes, until slightly darker around edges.
Decorate to your tastes.
